I had motion sickness from the horrible 2 hrs rocky boat ride cos it was apparently near monsoon season so the tides were strong.

The 'resort' was.......... like a shady motel. Toilet with lizard shit on the floor, towels and bedsheets with questionable stains and the blanket was sandy.

Food was oily and salty.

We saw a big, fat, long snake beside our huts which we thought was a python but turned out to be a viper. Both are just as bad anyway.

Some boat rides were cold and miserable cos it started raining when we came up. On top of that, not forgetting motion sickness.

But in spite of these miseries, I actually found diving an experience that everyone should try! Looking back, it was fun which I believed the company helped. The divemasters were friendly, the instructor, uncle Lawrence, was really professional and conscientious in teaching us and though the visibility underwater was not the best, it was an exhilarating feeling when you first find yourself going down, with no problems equalizing (yay!) and touching the seabed with the fishes swimming around you.

But tioman being more of a learning ground for diving than being a recommended dive site, we did manage some interesting sights like turtles, a pufferfish, clown fish, batfish and trigger fish! Not too shabby for poor visibility :D

Would I try diving again? Definitely! But not at tioman though. I would love to try Maldives, Bali and Sipadan (not too sure of the spelling lol) which are all highly recommended by avid divers.

The most memorable, and sadly, the only pic from my dive trip:

A bruise on the side of my face from sliding off the seat during the rocky boat ride and hitting the corner of the table. Loser max lol.

No other pics cos we were all feeling too seasick to whip out our cameras lol. There were some underwater pics from the divemasters and I hope to get hold of the pics!! Would be nice for one of our wedding pics lol.

Don't think I will go for advanced course any time soon cos the thought of night diving freaks me out.

4 hours to the US open finals!
