Running the yellow ribbon run was torturous.

Not cos it was 10km, since I try to make it a weekly routine to do that at macritchie on saturdays while bill lee coaches, but cos the heat was PURE TORTURE.

There were hardly any shades and the concrete roads emitting heat made it much, much worse.

It was oppressive.

Such an unbearable run. And they made the flag off 8am when the sun is already up. Why would they do that!! And we had to take a shuttle bus from expo to the starting point. Imagine, thousands of runners (I think 10,000 signed up?) taking buses from expo to Changi village where the start point is. It took slightly more than half hour cos there was a jam. By the time we started running, it was waaayy past the flag off. And yes, which makes the sun even higher up, blazing on us poor souls.

Such a poorly, organized run! And they promised scenic views of places like Changi prison and icantrememberwhat cos honestly, all I was looking out for was shades, not the scenery. I darted into any possible shadows casted by a bush to a lamppost.

It was THAT hot -_____- """

So glad that it's over and THANK GOD no unsightly tanlines. Now that the dive and the run is over, I can start avoiding the big, bad sun!

Gawdddddd Monday again!!!:(
