Because I was bored at the Shanghai airport awaiting the flight back to Singapore by my lonesome self, I decided to succumb to the current craze and bought myself a copy of eat, pray, love.
When something is overly hyped up, I find myself lowering my expectations, hence the book was surprisingly a delightful read, while thought provoking.
I'm pretty sure my sentiments will echo many readers of this book out there. Will we ever have the courage to travel for a good one year, in search of ourselves?
Especially when most of us are caught up in this rat race, can we really afford a year off not bringing in any moolahs?
Not that I'm feeling lost in particular, but I do experience moments of aimlessness pretty much often, a symptom of extended quarter life crisis perhaps. I'm not dying to visit Italy, India or Bali but I do wanna visit Bhutan someday to immerse myself in their happiness culture.
But who knows when I come back to Singapore I might feel even more depressed lol.
Back to work and reality. Zzz.
